The Annual LifeFest Prayer Revival (LFPR) is an annual event held at the downtown Rhorer Plaza in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in which everyone is invited to gather together in unison on the lawn of City Hall to create an atmosphere of unity, prayer, praise, and worship.
The Annual LFPR consist of activities such as praise and worship sessions featuring musical performances by select gospel music recording artists performing live on the Galvez Stage, food provided by our event sponsored food vendors, raffles, free give-a-ways, and a prayer revival in the form of prayers conducted hourly for all of our local residents and their families.
The Annual LFPR also presents a plethora of fun activities for kids such as the sponsored Kid’s Zone featuring: a water fight, a LifeFest Scavenger Hunt for kids ages 3-12, bounce inflatables, interactive hands-on stations, relay races, face painting, and various carnival like games & prizes for kids of all of ages.
Kids will also enjoy the LFPR Snack Station which provides FREE hot dogs, nachos, soft drinks, and ice cream.
Founded in 2012 by Pastor Timothy Dunn and First Lady Shameika Dunn of Abundant Life Christian Center (ALCC) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, LifeFest was initially instituted as an annual church picnic in the park, involving mostly its church members and their families and friends.
Every year since its initial inauguration, LifeFest has since grown bigger and better each year, and in 2021 was extended to also include a “Youth Rally” w/Live Entertainment and special guest performances.
The event was such a huge success, moving forward they decided to open the event up to the entire city of Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes as a unity themed, family oriented, free gospel festival & prayer revival for all to attend.
The objective moving forward is to forge an ongoing collaborative partnership with our local churches, to join us in presenting the annual“LifeFest Prayer Revival” to our residents, giving the gift of powerful prayer to every family in the city of Baton Rouge and the surrounding parishes.
